I think the poor scheduling of Broncos games on Thursdays has killed the crowds for the weekend games.

Broncos definitely got a boost from the regular Friday night games, not sure how a handful of Thursday matches makes fans less likely to attend on a Saturday though.

Nrl hopefully handing out 100 to every junior leagues club.

It's pretty clear magic round hasn't been given enough thought. The 6pm Friday game is Tigers vs Panthers at Suncorp, of course. This will generate minimal interest in Brisbane, but would fill Parramatta, not in that timeslot, but at 6pm Sunday or 3pm Saturday or whatever. Magic Round doesn't need to be all eight games. In the Super League it was only 6.

Not many of them have lights suitable for televised sport. You could always send a convoy of trucks with temporary light towers. It's been done before.

Better we split them between nz, Newcastle and Canberra. Clubs should be offering $10 GA kids free with adults for Thursday and fri 6pm games. They’re getting $5million a year more from the nrl, about time they actually earnt it and used it to improve things!
Nrl is benefitting from big tv revenue due to selling games at sht times for fans. About time they gave something back as well.
