Were the Roosters compensated for moving games to the SCG? Although they’re the premiers, playing on an oval ground would affect their crowds
Compensated in cap credits.

18k would be a more realistic goal. 20k average would be insane good.
Compensated in cap credits.
A once-a-season match in rugby union heartland isn't really comparable.17k at Brookvale tonight for the rah rah, Manly take note...
I have worked out Parra will average 21,500.
The NRL have scheduled smartly with giving Parra the Roosters and Cronulla as their early season games at ANZ. The Sharks and Roosters fans together with the Sea Eagles being the least likely to travel anywhere within Sydney.
Each of those will be 15k.
The first 3 home games should be sold out.
Then Parra has the Rabbits which could get 20k.
Broncos will likely be 18k.
Raiders no away fans 18k.
Warriors no away fans 18k.
Knights fans will travel that could get 20k.
Dogs fans will want to have a look so 25k.
Sea Eagles, no away fans so 18k.
In the unlikely event Parra are good this season it could be higher than that.
I must admit I can only speak from experiences in Brisbane and Melbourne but the Warriors (ex pat Kiwis) drag a huge amount of ''away'' support into Suncorp and AAMI, does this not happen in Sydney?

I was watching the game and thought there is no way it could be 17k as there were plenty of gaps.17k at Brookvale tonight for the rah rah, Manly take note...
Rugby union heartland? You do realise that Brookvale isn't on the north shore right?A once-a-season match in rugby union heartland isn't really comparable.
Manly play 10 games there ffs
Can still buy family tickets in the away supporters bay. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow.Has Parra game sold out yet?
Yeah you're right, the Northern Beaches hates rugby union.Rugby union heartland? You do realise that Brookvale isn't on the north shore right?
Having spent over 30 years on the northern beaches, I know about half a dozen rugby fans.Yeah you're right, the Northern Beaches hates rugby union.
