The dogs couldn’t pull a decent crowd against the Eels. Imagine how bad it’s going be against an outer state team.

I do think fans are waiting for the Western Sydney stadium. But the lack of marketing (ticket price deals etc) is apparent. Non existent. Today might just pip the half full ground next door. But only just! It's embarassing.

Why do the afl get such massive crowds? Thursday night carlton/Richmond 85k

Collingwood/Richmond get origin or grand final crowd numbers most weeks

Have to do something to get more fans through the gates

AFL get pretty much the best crowds in the world relevant to population. They get bigger crowds than most of the super popular European soccer leagues.
Compared to population NRL crowds are on par with most sports leagues. AFL is the anomaly.
