Hello forumites!

Its the off season, so its time that we look forward to the upcoming season. Did you know its only 132 days until Round One?!?!
One thing that fans love to speculate on is who will be the face of the game. I think it should be Sydney Roosters Super Star Latrell Mitchell.

Latrell is a champion. In 2018, he was a key component in the success of New South Wales and the Sydney Roosters. He scored two tries in State of Origin this year, and scored a sensational try in this year's Grand Final. He's also young and extremely handsome, which will encourage more women to watch the game and be more likely to let their little kids play rugby league. His community work, bringing a ton of kids to watch the prelim final this year shows him to be a champion of the community, which is what the Face of the Game needs to be. The advert can feature him scoring one of his barnstorming tries and doing his trademark celebration, then the advert can show smiling kids and their parents doing the celebration too. It would promote the game as being fun.

Alternatively, Australian and NSW captain Boyd Cordner is another option to be the Face of the Game.

thoughts?
Definitely.

And if he's away on rep duties, sick, etc, Dean Widders can step in for him.

Hmmm . . . . so many to choose from.
Albert Rosenfeild when he is getting Remi Casty's autograph. And for shits and giggles, Adam Kungl standing next to him.
Wittyfan meeting Mitchel Moses in person.
Remi Casty himself, upon realising someone actually knows who the fkk he is.
Rabs20 face to face with Checcin.

THEY should be the face of the NRL.

It is definitely between Latrell Mitchell, Joseph Manu, James Tedesco, Luke Keary, Cooper Cronk, and Victor Radley.

Any one of those six stars would do me, but do we have to choose one?

Those are the cocks of the game. Which is a coveted thing.

All can have it. Don't cry to us when they're all caught in a mini van molesting a pygmy hippo with a pound of cocaine.

In general, the NRL should really be pushing the youth movement of the competition. Latrell Mitchell, Kalyn Ponga, AJ Brimson, Nick Cotric, Tevita Pangai Jr, Nathan Cleary, Victor Radley etc. need to be the focus and the game needs to promote their story and why fans should watch them play.

Especially now that JT and Slater have retired. You don't want to give the public the impression that the game is in a state of decline.

yeah, the NRL could push the young players. Of course, Latrell would be the face, but the others can be on the posters too. Imagine a poster, with the likes of Latrell, Ponga, Cleary et al, and they're all doing the 'Trell celebration. It would look fantastic

With the loss of the games superstars the nrl do need to get on the front foot to create some marketing around the next group of star quality players or we could be in a wasteland for a few years u til the next slater or Thurston breaks though.

The challenge is is finding a young player your confident is t going f to be on the front page of the news Ltd toilet paper anytime soon.
