From wooden spooners to semi finalists. Although tonight has been a really shit ending. the future is bright for the Eels. Mani looks shattered, but these moments are what drives you to become better and it will be valuable experience for their younger players.
The Storm's game plan was smart waiting on Parra's ballplayers to make errors or poor decisions, then pretty much suffocate them out of the game.

Ah well. Expected a loss tonight, just disappointing that it was comprehensive really.

Plenty to look forward to next year. Well, there would be for another club, but knowing Parramatta we could just as easily build on this and win the comp, or manage to be the first side ever to win zero games lol
We all expected a loss, and we all hoped for an upset. Be upbeat about the vast improvement in this season, and giving the RL universe last week's win. :)

Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels

The Melbourne Storm have booked a grand final rematch with the Sydney Roosters after outclassing Parramatta 32-0 at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

After suffering a shock 12-10 loss to Canberra last week, Melbourne were on from the opening whistle, restricting the Eels to minimal possession while running in five tries of their own in the first half.

It sets up a thrilling Preliminary Final next week at the Sydney Cricket Ground between the competition's two heavyweights.

Will they back it up next year? We said the future was bright for Parramatta back in 2017

The salary cap does not serve its purpose as originally intended. The 2000s decade was a lot more even, but this decade has been no different than the 80s in terms of evenness across the competition. We have several teams that have made the finals only once the whole decade. We’ve had only 2 minor premiers in the last 7 years.

Go even further back and look at how many deciders have featured the Roosters or Storm since the NRL began. At my count, there's only been 6 of 22 deciders (not including this season) that's been the case for- and all but two of those featured the Broncos or Bulldogs. Totes diverse, Toddy!

Thing is, I doubt the Storm will be a grubby team after Bellamy finally parts ways with them. But all that'll happen is the new team Bellamy goes to will just develop the same grubby tactics, just like his NSW teams.

Nice rant but what got lost in the excitement of Storm losing is that both Storm and Raiders played pretty average. On form, as I said, Roosters and Eels are looking much more likely.

My rant was right ;)

Lol at anyone who thought Parra were a chance tonight, shit club and it'll always be a shit club! Watch the bastards now all jump on the AFL bandwagon.
