Im not a fan of the "look" of the Heritage jersey, but what I do like is Wests Ashfields (our new overlords) continuing efforts at not burying the Tigers heritage. Well done to them.

You can trace back the timeline to when the Tigers dropped the orange jerseys to almost exactly when Wests Ashfield took over. For someone like me who came from the Balmain side but has completely accepted the joint venture, it was an exptremely worrying sign.

Lately, actions such as this jersey and Wests Ashfield bailing out Balmain Leagues are very encouraging signs.

If the two black vees were one thicker vee, without the orange in between the black and white (orange/black/white/black or black/orange/white/orange), I'd agree.

You'd need to swap the design a little tbh - those vees on the orange section are distinctly Balmain, so you'd want to see the thicker Magpie vees if you flipped it.

Almost all "heritage jerseys" are fauxbacks anyway - even when they attempt to replicate something these days it's generally not true to the original.

Having said that, this is clearly an attempt to merge two old jerseys. I don't mind it

Star Trek did it to a fan fiction writer when they used his idea/writing in a episode/novel without credit. They said they could sue him for the misuse and misrepresentation of their property or he could feel warm and fuzzy with them using it.

Same thing here I'd say.

I'm pretty sure Souths used a gazf design for a 9s jersey and gave him no credit.

That’s what a board full of half west’s and half Balmain exec’s get ya. Should of followed the 2013 approach when they had 2 heritage strips, each dedicated to the specific team.
