Probably been answered before but why do some Roosters have a golden c**k on their shoulder and others don't?

Bit of a jersey clash in the Women's touch NRL for anyone interested. Titans Vs Roosters. Navy top with navy bottom for both teams. As usual Titans looking nothing like the Titans.

The bronze chook (although it does look gold) represents 100 games for the club. Currently Cordner, Liu and Toups have these. The silver chook represents 200 games. Friend, Aubs and JWH have these. No current players have a gold one although Aubs should get one next year. Cronk was given a red chook as a sign of his 300 games played previously.

Correct. Lot's of information coming out of the Roosters that before that purpose was implemented, they wanted to give a gold chook to a leadership team (probably Friend, Aubo etc.) and a red chook to every current player who won a premiership with the Roosters.
