Finally something for Manly fans to cheer about.
The only possible scenario that helps out Manly is if Des rebuilds the team with the old 'Foran/DCE combo' and for bonus points throw Hoppa on the wing again.

If only they could punt that loser now... spend his 600 thousand on a decent backI cheer every time our players don't lose FIFA to their partners tbh.
Even allowing for the conditions,Wests Tiges were more convincing than the Warriors. At home and a dry track, you'll be fine.Ugly win and doubt that would have beaten too many other sides but it’s round 1 so I’ll take it.
Will need to be a hell of a lot better next week or the warriors will give us a real reeming
luke garner looks the goods
Would he be related to ex-Manly and Balmain player Russell Gardner? He’s not Chris Lawrence, but he’s as close to a clone of him as you’ll get
It was Russell Gartner and this bloke is Luke GannerWould he be related to ex-Manly and Balmain player Russell Gardner?
So no relation...but have fond memories of frog eyes..he was good for the tigers at the back end of his careerIt was Russell Gartner and this bloke is Luke Ganner

I think he ended up on the wing in a Balmain GF.So no relation...but have fond memories of frog eyes..he was good for the tigers at the back end of his career
I think this round will be one to shake off for all sides after the sloppy handling. It'll be the same at Penrith this arvo with very heavy falls expected, so expect the wet weather hi jinx to continue.Did not get to the game but after catching the extended highlights I thought Manly had a real chance to be up at least 8 nil and on a wet night that would have been hard to reel in. As it turned out the Tigers kicking game won them the day and the kicking game was made possible by the forwards getting plenty of yards.
Neither side will be there on GF day, but the tigers might get close to finals football. Next week against the Warriors should gives us a better idea
