You mightn’t think so but you’re doing it because in the deep dark recesses of the players minds they have some semblance of pride in their performance & respect for the coach.

Let’s face it, most years you only need to win just over half your games so you can stink for one week, switch back on the following week & you can stay in touch.

We’ve pretty much stunk the whole year with the players wearing a ‘we don’t give a sh*t because the coach has given us our excuses look’.

Anyway, enjoy the win mate, you have suffered for waaaayyy too long.

I used to work with an Eels supporter who gave the best banter and every time these sides play i think of him and what things he would have came up with to give me shit about and make me even more pissed off after a loss. Without him I wouldn't have been able to get through dark days like this where I realise that there is much more to footy than winning or losing.
