Sure, we both had our share of calls but people in here insinuating the refs came here with a pre-conceived plan to get us across the line, it's laughable.
I think you’re correct, and that gross incompetence may be the real culprit here..

Edit: to clarify, if they *really* is a conspiracy from the NRL to have the Broncos win.... surely Ben Cummins gets the refereeing gig...

I reckon we go on a charge from here and blast our way to the major semi to get slaughtered by the storm

It's unfortunate for the Titans that NQ and the Broncos are placed higher than them on the ladder...
They had 20 rounds to do better?

If any QLD team does make it into the eight they'll be swiftly dispatched in the finals anyway. If you're not a genuine contender you're just making up the numbers.

Bring back a top 5 or 6.

MATCH REPORT - Broncos 18 Cowboys 14:

Turpin heroics help Broncos burst back into the eight
Andrew Jackson | August 8 2019 9:58PM

North Queensland Cowboys v Brisbane Broncos

A last-minute try to Jake Turpin has seen the Brisbane Broncos stun the North Queensland Cowboys 18-14 in Townsville.

The win temporarily takes the Broncos into eighth position yet if we learnt anything from Thursday night's game, it was that they will be but mere cannon fodder if they are to stumble deep into September.

That game was so bad it was good.

Anyone else pick up the third man in shoulder charge by Tevita in the lead up to Cowboys first try? Commentators and ref didn't, but it was pretty solid and blatant..

Unfortunately that’s not going to happen with TV money running the game.

I'm watching it on my phone, but it's certainly not clear from my viewing(happy to be corrected)

I couldn't see a touch either on 9Now.

Turpin offloads to nobody, Milford beats him to the ball, the ball is spilled loose from Milford and as Gela-Mosby makes a play at the ball, Ofahengaue gets boot to ball.

Unless he got a touch on it when the ball came loose off Milford, I think the referees were fooled by the Ofahengaue grubber.

With that said, I've got question marks over the tackle by Taumalolo on Segeyaro and the push in the back from Gela-Mosby on Milford.

Only issue with this is the sequence in which it occured.

Milford was shoved in goal fairly and then the ref makes up that he called held in the field of play in a desperate attempt to help the shit broncos.
No he wasn’t. He was held and wasn’t being pushed back until after the ref called held.

It's irrelevant what you think of the call, the ref clearly called held and they continued on with the tackle, it's a penalty.

The ref stupidly called held half a second before the tackled player was in goal. Would have been a ridiculous penalty as tackle momentum underway and impose to stop that quick.

I think if we hit the stadium with a cruise missile right now, we might be able to cleanse the land enough for us to all move on.

Sure there are civilians in the stands, but their deaths will be a mercy
I was in the stands and can confirm that being bombed would have been the merciful thing to do rather than having to watch that gash.

P.S. I was right in line with Miflord's pass at the end. Can confirm that it was blatantly forward just like 90% of the passes he throws in first grade.
