Those last two plays were like a scene from total recall when the dude lifts his shirt up and theres a storm player like a growth popping out siamese style.

They didnt stop the clock either when the Reff blew the last penalty.

I didn’t even think the Baptiste tackle was bad. Marginal penalty tbh but the real crime was not stopping play when every man and his dog could tell there were two players seriously injured. Ref reckons the touchie needs to be alerted but it was clear as day.

In the end I’m glad it was a sh*t game because the spotlight should be on the complete disregard for the injured players despite the NRL faffing about player duty of care.
Some officials need a rest after that.

Atkins should be sacked. Not dropped, fired.

And so should the touchie if he didn't tell the refs.

OH FFS STOP REPLAYING IT!

That lying on a player with no fear of the consequences (a penalty is a plus in that situation) is a blight on the game. Can't blame the players for doing it, the rules need to not reward that. Maybe in the last 2 minutes, lying on the player results in a sin bin automatically, and time out is blown instantly from the penalty to the tap to restart play.

Storm with 5 unconvincing wins against 5 struggling teams, not sure how to judge that. 5 wins in a row is always good, but they are not playing well for a team with 5 wins.

Cowboys rotten luck from last year looks to be continuing. Wish Macdonald and Asiata the best, their clash looked nasty.

Sad that the biggest talking point from the game is not a terrible injury (which would also be sad but understandable), but the terrible rules in place that allowed the play to continue while the seriously injured players stayed on the field. One day it will be nice when the game is properly professional and we don't have these sorts of strange incidents....
