I was never confident coming into this game as the Bulldogs have enjoyed a lot of success against us and when I saw the black armbands I thought here we go again, with the last game between these two clubs very fresh in my memory. In the initial exchanges we looked up for this which showed in our defence. You could hear the hits through the effects mic on TV and our big men carted the ball up with determination looking like they would break the line with almost every carry,

After a couple of Bulldogs errors and penalties, Saints had heaps of possession against a Bulldogs side who looked shocked. I was still nervous at 18-0 up at half time thinking please Saints don't f**k this up in he 2nd half. Once we got our 1st try in the second half, only then could I just enjoy the rest of the game without any nerves while Saints ran rampant.
