I've spoken to him a couple of times this year at Cabra, he seems quite knowledgeable but I'm not seeing his daily interaction with the boys. Could he be a chance of taking over from Yatesy?
He is as much chance of getting the job as Laurie Daley is with QLD origin.

Cant see it. Asquith officials say he can't attract players but wont go into why. I guess you have to ask the players. Lost a heap of players after 2015 and they finished out of the 8 in massey and dead last in shield in 2016. All they had in 2017 was a shield team and if peninsula didn't crash out of the competition that year they wouldnt have had a team at all. Clarke gets booted Weisner goes to asquith and you have 60 players rock up. But money speaks all languages and Cabra have heaps so who knows.

Looks like Cabra have finally reached their heights with a 4 point demolition of Hills

Mounties 46 Glebe Burwood 12
Cabra 24 Hills 20

In the last 2 games Hills have lost most of their NSW Cup players back to Souths and injuries have required them to bring in a number of their juniors from the Parramatta Flegg squad. Despite this they led Cabra for 65 minutes but could not close out the game.

SS

Asquith 42 Belrose 34
Cabra 46 Hills 26

Last week Belrose led Cabra at half time before conceding 46 points in the second half and again yesterday Belrose were on the right side of the ledger against a strong Asquith lineup for a large part of the game. Cabra made it 15 straight wins.

Wenty 26 Wests 16
St Marys 32 Guildford 24
Blacktown 28 Brothers 22

Guildford and Brothers have both lost due to poor goal kicking with 5 tries being scored by both teams in both games. For Blacktown it was a miracle escape, being down 22-16 with 3 minutes left. They now join Hills on 4 wins so next weeks match up should decide 8th spot.

SS

Ryde Eastwood 50 University 10
East Campbelltown 38 Wenty 26
St Marys 34 Guildford 28
Moorebank 66 Brothers 4

Ryde Eastwood entered the top 4 with their 9th win in the last 11 games. for the second week running Uni included a number of players backing up from the Glebe Burwood game.

Brothers will be filthy with that result. Should have been a 22 all draw. Blacktown's last try should never have been awarded. Field goal attempt. Chaser up near the play the ball runs through and scores as the bell rings.

Glebe produced their 3rd win for 2019. Guildford moved into 5th spot and Blacktown won their 4th game in the last 5 to move out of the bottom three. With Blacktown having the bye in NSW Cup they dropped back a few Cup regulars but they had to overcome a scoreless first half.

Cabra have had the advantage of including a number of RMC standard players most weeks but today they fielded a genuine SS standard team and suffered their first loss for 2019.

I think hills are finished in RMC , the squad they have they should be getting results. I don’t see them winning another game anytime soon. Their SS is pretty much close to done if they lose this weekend aswell. Another disappointment from their club.

Cabra finally got their season underway - apparently the plan was to be competitive in the last month of the season and then win 4 finals in consecutive weeks. The contested all the way today and held out Mounties forays in the last few minutes so they have nailed the first step. It looks like Asquith put on a good showing against Wenty and despite 3 successive losses they have Brothers and Hills in the next two games so they should hold down 4th spot and get the double chance.

SS

East Campbelltown 82 University 6
Ryde Eastwood 36 Cabra 18
St Marys 40 Hills 10
Asquith 26 Wenty 24
Moorebank 38 Guildford 18
Belrose 26 Brothers 26

Ryde Eastwood continued the stellar run and were far too good for Cabra, leading 24-0 inside half an hour and despite conceded about 10 successive penalties still led 36-0 10 minutes from time. When Ryde had 2 players binned Cabra scored 4 tries in the final 10. John Olive was the only player of note in the Cabra lineup. Guildford had not lost at McCredie since Cabra beat them in Round 3 and led 18-16 20 minutes from the end but Moorebank stormed home for another convincing win. Hills dropped 10 players from last week and produced a much more respectable result while Belrose missed their best opportunity to offload the wooden spoon to Brothers.
