Awesome all round performance. How good was Maloney? If that was Thurston or Cronk you would never hear the end of it.
Which just underpins the myth that is Cleary. Good on him for the odd grubber into the red zone or a conversion from the sideline, but that’s all he has in his bag of tricks. FMD Moses might have the odd brain fart, but at least he is quite successful with try assists and line breaks.

For some reason merkins keep saying in his defence that “he’s only 21” and “he does his job”. Fine, how about picking him as origin 7 when he is capable of doing the job at the highest level ? Stop making up excuses to cover his inexperience and lack of ability?

Couldn’t agree more. Maloney and Graham (or Keary if he’s fit) for game 3. We’ve had success in the past playing bigger second rowers in the halves for Origin.

Thing is, Cleary is not much different to a host of mediocre halves NSW could put out there ... all of whom are capable of being ass raped if the team has a bad game

Hopefully Clearys ankle injury puts him out for a few weeks, so no chance of being picked in Origin 3

I like the idea of Graeme at 5/8th, but then would need a backline utility off the bench I think
King Gutho?
