I am a bit worried Barry Russell's love child could be buried into the turf from a Kikau hit

Pretty stupid having the gf on a Sunday night without a Monday public holiday. Why didn’t they put it on Saturday night?
Would also clash with the AFL GF, whichover one you think would win the ratings it would still take away from the total so why would you

The GF would have been played 2 weeks ago on that particular long weekend.

No charges for Penrith's JFH and Tetivano last night, although the Souths fullback Allan was charged with a shoulder charge on Mansour in the 15th minute.

Would have thought the NRL would have booked their GF before the AFL so the Saturday night should have been available at the time.

But for the last few years the NRL has always been Sunday and AFL Saturday hasn't it? it just makes sense to keep it the same. NSW should of moved the Public Holiday like Vic did

Sadly, no Festival Of The Boot parts 1 and 2 next weekend which means Roy & H.G. wont be calling the NRL and AFL GFs. They still will be having a preview program next Saturday from 12 noon...which will be their final program as they go for a break.

Kikau is a big in for Pemrff.
Wet weather is a big in for Melbn.

Pemrff have the better rounded team.
Melbn have the GOAT.

It should be a cracking game, can't wait.

The week off didn't do Penrith many favours imo. Really should have given Souths a bit of a canning last night but they were a bit off.

I think they'll be much better for the run - but not sure if there were too many 'playmakers' in the side last night. Rather see Cleary running the show and having his hands on the ball more often, like it has been all season.

On the other hand, the week off suited Mlb just fine but Bellamy also had his pack take care of the blokes who were being hailed as immortals the week before - they got hit hard and low and that was the end of the story.

Amazing how everything old is becoming new again. Penrith also used that mantra last night to fix up a few of Souths bigger bodies. Api did a huge job in the middle.

Shall be a great game. NFI who will win, just glad the 2 best teams (and by a loooong way) are in the GF.

As a fan of a club that probably won't see a grand final again in my lifetime I'm absolutely dripping with envy.
Forget about form, forget about win streaks, forget about whose retiring. This will come down to who wants it more and who will take their opportunities on the day.
