Cleary tried his best out there tonight. A couple of things that, if they went his way, and we might have been praising him.

IMO, the whole NSW side played very well when one considers we only had 3 benchies for the rest of the game after Teddy was KOed, and we know how that scenario affected Qld in game two. And how many sets of 6 did Qld have in that first 12 minutes of the 2nd half?To be only beaten by 6 in front of a full Lang Park was no mean feat.

QLDs attack was atrocious due to fillin players not being up to it.
They were a 20 point better side had they taken their chances.

Last year Cleary got hurt in game 2 and luckily we had Wade Graham slot into the 5/8th role and looked seamless, Freddy should have remembered that, not exactly sure the point of having 3 locks on the bench especially if you're only going to play Brown for 15 minutes at the end. They really should have picked either Graham or Matterson in the squad

Freddy made some bad calls with certain players omitted/ played out of position this series but some of his other ideas about mentally preparing players for Origin (while unorthodox) are good ones. I'd take Freddy any day over somebody like Bellyache whose tactics are just grub it up and don't let NSW hurt any of his Qld Storm players...

Freddy did f**k up. He f**ked up by not having a genuine utility. Pap and McInnes were the closest he had to that in his squad but he went for 4 forwards on the bench. I'm not sure Yeo at centre cost NSW the game but it didn't help them when under seige in the latter stages of the first half.
