I'd say this would be the worst playoff loss in the Tomlin era but they've got season-ending losses to Tim Tebow and Blake Bottles on the ol' resumé.

I don't think it was this at all. The early run was built on the front seven, they went off the rails after Bush and Dupree went down. Roethlisberger hasn't put a great stretch together for a long while, he was even worse this year, receivers couldn't catch and the line and RBs couldn't find a yard. The record was not a true reflection of their ability. They are just not a very good football team.

And it's not going to get any better with Ben on the books for $40m next season.

Yuck, that's ugly. Surely they could renegotiate it to a smaller amount with a coaching position the year after. Get rid of Randy, make Canada OC and Ben QB coach. Everyone knows that Ben's best play this year has been when he's gone away from Randy's plan and made his own calls on the field
