It's incredible how piss poor the NSWRL is.
They still haven't fixed that match day system that lists all score updates as having happened in the first half.
Which has made it glaringly obvious that their 'match report' for the 1st vs 2nd match yesterday between Maitland and Norths was written by someone who didn't even watch the game, despite it being live streamed.
The report claimed Maitland ran out to a 14-0 lead early but it was two tries apiece until right before half-time.
Also says "Jordan Ah-One-Remfrey saw a gap in Maitlands defence" when he scored from a 90-metre intercept.
What happened to the old magazine that used to cover NSWRL games?
A few years ago NSWRL decided that only Matthews and Ball comps would appear in the magazine, but even before that point all the volunteer reporters were given the boot and all match reports disappeared. Things just keep going backwards. In 1910 you could find team lists for clubs in the Junior leagues every Friday/Saturday in the major sydney newspapers and I have seen the programs that were issued every week at the gates in balmain junior league in the 1940's covering every game in the district.
There have been a limited number of occasions where the timings of tries has been correct so it is possible that it is just boofheads looking at the clock with time remaining rather than the computer compelling them.
I dont know if Cronulla Caringbah were trying to "out" the fake reporters from NSWRL but a few weeks ago they listed kamryn Cryer and Joe Tramontona as props so when half back cryer converted the first try it referred to him as a prop, and when Joe Tramontona, who is a flyweight hooker, occupying an interchange backrower role due to the presence of Michael Lichhaa, scored, it said he used his weight to force his way over.
It is hard to see anyone testing Maitland. That 90 metre intercept try by Remfry appeared to keep Norths in the hunt, but the further the game went, the difference in class of the 2 sides became more apparent. Ryde eastwood were as equally dominant in crushing a fairly experienced Belrose side last week.
