Who’s playing fullback for the Waiders for the rest of the season?

Probably Rapana for 2-3 weeks until Charnze's hand is a go. His positioning & instincts are pretty good in the role, obviously can handle the high balls/grubbers etc as a winger, throws his body into the contest and likes the support play stuff. Has a better passing game than CNK. Throws plenty of talk so can organise a defence.

Downsides are he's lost a bit of speed & is a bit of a loose cannon at times but he'll do for a few weeks. Cotric & Semi to be the wingers.

Lui is having a good season but there are still questions on his yardage making. 12 runs for 80 odd metres according to nrl.com is not great in a game where south's beat us in go forward while having less ball

He is a great defender and that strip was a huge moment but we are struggling going forward in a big way. Only really Tapine and Papalii seem to be making metres every week.

This is why I'm a fan of the Ryan James signing. Its an area we are seriously struggling with

Agree on James taking the heat off Papa with yardage game.

But Lui is our 4th prop- the bargain bin guy. His job is to tackle everything that moves & hold the middle. I thought he made some reasonable charges last night (even if he also got smashed a few times). That's about all you can ask of him. His defence needs to be spot on & we just have to take what yards we get from him.

A fit CHN should also help with the yards- he's got good footspeed & the kind of guy who often gets his body between defenders for that quick play after a 10 yard dash. We don't get many metres at all out of Young, he's a bit of a nonentity in attack.

Liu was starting for a lot of the season. As the 4th to 5th prop he is great. He doesn't miss tackles and he has worked on that steal over the off-season. If that's his spot in the squad he's great at it.

He starts only as a matter of balancing the rotation. $$$ wise he is very much the 4th prop. Took a paycut from a modest salary to remain at the club last time around even.
