Clarke is completely underrated as a captain I thought he was outstanding. Lead us to an ashes series whitewash, series win in South Africa and the World Cup after which we had been struggling badly the year before this started. His leadership during the Hughes tragedy was impressive as well.

When you've got some muppet from Tasmania in charge using the most conservative and pitiful on field tactics known to man to lose an unloseable game, utterly hopeless using the DRS, sending a team in to bat with the series level despite all odds stacked against him, and barely good enough to keep his own place in the side on merit, you appreciate a captain like Michael Clarke.
