Dunno, but something something Penrith Panthers

Penrith Panthers?

They're doing well this year- finally seeing the culmination of Gus's plan. Top of the table, yet for some reason people would rather talk about the Storm and the Roosters here. IMO Panthers are seriously underrated and don't get talked about enough.

I might be drunk as balls...but I can't believe anyone is complaining about the send off?

Late, a bit high, blatant shoulder charge and he leapt into it. During play probs could get away with ten in the bin but the cat decided to do it with play stopped and deserved to go absolutely
I thought he was committed to the "tackle" when the whistle was blown to stop play.

Worthy of 10 in the bin and will probably cop a week or two on the sidelines, but I didn't think it was send off worthy.

Hah he's committed to the tackle alright, problem is Cummins stopped play and any half brained player would have pulled out with all that time. Chad only wanted to belt Ponga as hard as he possibly could so he only had eyes for pongas head. That's the risk with the big rush up hit, over commitment.

Considering the 2 week suspensions being handed out for minor/accidental crusher tackles you would think Wade Graham will miss quite a few weeks for that lifting tackle.

The grading for Townsend will be interesting. Considering he left the ground and it was after the whistle, a strong argument can be made for it being a reckless tackle.

A grade one reckless high tackle is 400 points, so you’d have to think that his shoulder charge would be deemed worse, which would put it at a grade 3 with a base penalty of 500 points.

It was no worse than the one on Fisher-Harris which was called a grade 1.

Townsend was about 2 metres offside as well which was a contributing factor. Had he been back the 10, he'd have had time to pull out of the tackle. Unfortunately, the 10 metres from 20 metre taps isn't very well policed in the game.

He probably was committed to an extent but he also didn't need to leap into a shoulder charge. The whistle went quite comfortably before he left the ground with a flying shoulder I thought.

Exactly. Cummins has his hands in the air calling a halt to play for a long time. Late, high, shoulder charge, reckless. Anyone defending this attempt at tacking is a goose.

We’ll celebrate in our own forum and won’t give a sh*t what opposition fans think. I suggest you guys do the same and enjoy your time in the sun. This game proves the good times don’t last forever.
Congrats on an entertaining win. Enjoy the moment. Looking at the rest of the draw, it seems that with an ounce of luck, Newcy could just sneak in the top 4.
