If they're going to let all those go why not also ignore the one that leads to the better team losing in the last minute of play?
They weren't the better side in the last 20, and they faded alarmingly at the death. Not good signs.

You need to take into account coriolis force, the ball was thrown north east by a player running in nor north westerly direction, and as such after adjusting for Southern Hemisphere coriolis, a blatant forward pass will appear to travel backwards from the hands by 12 hector pascals.

Precisely.

Benefit of the video after the fact. In the moment you can understand fast paced game he’s sees the ball thrown and caught in front. Calls forward. Can’t blame him for not being able to analyse how it comes out of the hands. What needs to change is the ruling of not being able to call on forward passes in a try scoring situation. Also the rule gives a grey area. Should just be black and white if it looks forward no matter how it comes out of the hands then it’s forward. That would eliminate calls being missed.

The ball travels forwards almost every play

Well that's only a quarter of the game, and Manly had all the ball in that final 20 minutes. Of course they looked better at the end.

Every team struggles without the ball.
I think it was a reasonable result, but it also would have been reasonable if it went the other way. And yes, the team with possession has all the fun and it seems more pronounced under the new rules.

All Dally M points have gone to Eels players from this match. They don't even say who the judge is any more. The Dally M needs to be shut down and replaced with something that isn't a joke.
