Our attack was shocking but goal line defence was excellent. Very tough win with so many injuries.

AFB should get a couple of weeks for his outburst. The guy is an A grade merkin.

Atkins brought that shitstorm on himself for not blowing the penalty straight up. There was no way in the world it was a penalty try, so it shouldn’t have been referred to the bunker. He was essentially going to the bunker to see if there was a penalty, which isn’t what the bunker is for.

He sent the play of the try up, the Bunker had the opportunity to call the push in the back as a penalty. They didn't.

But it was nowhere near a try. Atkins tried to pass off the tough decision and it blew up in his face.
If he just said no penalty straight away, there would have been far less drama created. It still would have been an incorrect decision, but one made on the fly.
Funa was pushed more than 15 metres out with three players between him and the tryline. That’s not a penalty try situation.
In an ideal world, he would have called the penalty straight away.
Atkins created the controversy.
AFB is a dumb merkin and deserves everything he gets.
