I think you’ll find a lot of the Fox/9 viewers are going to Kayo which for whatever reason, isn’t reported

Cheers, why dont they report regional ratings? Is it on a different channel to Ch9 in NSW and Qland regions and if so why doesnt it show up in the multi-channel listings?

Regional ratings are technically reported by RegTAM, which is theoretically different to OzTAM. So separate reports are issued, and not every media company has the necessary subscription to access the data.

Do the figures get published anywhere? I cant find any regional figures for NRL?

As expected the Donkeys are by far the most valuable team to the NRL as far as broadcast right goes, followed by Melbourne and NQLD. Manly seem to add the least value considering their success...
Interesting that the titans get pretty solid FTA ratings but the worst PTV ratings.

The PTV figures are pretty consistent among clubs which you would kind of expect as the people who are paying to watch NRL on STV are generally more enthusiastic fans and will watch most if not all games each weekend regardless of whose playing.

Interesting to see the STV popularity of the late Sunday time slot, the perfect timeslot for a Perth game!

Unless one of the subscribing companies or the tv channel posts it, then no.

TV Tonight - metro fta only
mediaspy - metro fta only
blackbox - metro fta only
mr tv australia - seems to have all the data, but will generally do it all on a sunday, so the sunday regionals get missed
mediaweek - seems to have everything when it can be bothered. This typically means some thursday and sunday ratings regional data is missed.

Nine used to email out a daily NRL ratings update, but i dont know if they are now or if blackbox is being excluded because of my work, Seven is publishing more data than it did last year now.

Its interesting how poorly the Sunday afternoon games are doing on Ch9. Maybe we should swap FTA game to Saturday night and keep Sunday for Fox exclusively with 2 games in next deal (3 with expansion)?

So perhaps we weren't trounced?

Well there is around 400k KAYO subscribers. If we look at Fox figures for both codes NRL is slightly ahead. So theres a good chance that slightly more watched the NRL games on Kayo than AFL games but that would have very little impact on the overall audience gap. Maybe 50-100k tops. No way of knowing for sure.
