The Game 2021 Crowd Watch

Where do we think Origin one will be moved? I think GIO is the front runner, they’d be able to sell it out at a premium on day one.

Sydney have proven that taking it there wouldn’t result in a big crowd unless fire sold IMO (based on game three ticket sales) and heading to Perth or Adelaide presents some risks.

Brisbane should be ruled out because two games back to back is unfair.

This unique scenario lends itself to be played at the SFS which obviously isn't there at the moment.

If the NRL are going to deem GIO stadium as appropriate then why not play it at Bank west? The crowd would be the same with an epic atmosphere.

BankWest would be logical and I would make the trip for that. But the NRL is hell-bent on there being a neutral venue each year by the sounds of things.

How about Newcastle as a venue.

Not many neutral venues you could play at. Given how much time there is to sell tickets and corporates you’d think it would need to be at Bankwest to get some cash. They could in theory play at Perth or Adelaide but would need to pretty much give away tickets to fill them. Personally I’d take it somewhere that wouldn’t normally have a chance so Newcastle, NQ or Canberra

Cowboys could get to 10 I reckon. Not sure how many people can fit in at Coffs? Probably no more than 10k.
Would be amazing if that many people could get to Newcastle but i feel they are pretty fed up.

Shattered Origin will be moved. Think we are next up in 2025 - but it’s for the best, just shit timing.

As for next venue - it would be a risk but would love to see it in NZ after not seeing live RL for so long...more realistically I think Canberra are best bet.

I dont see how Canberra could be in the mix. The capacity is too small. Newcastle is like 35k or whatever.

This is a Wednesday night fixture, so NZ just won't work. I don't mind the idea of them having a Sunday game in the future though.

I don't see why if they move it to Adelaide that Melbourne can't have it in 2023

That’s a fair point, didn’t consider time difference etc

Adelaide oval is pretty busy the next few weeks and has a game on Thursday 10 June. I don’t think they would send it to Adelaide with minimal time to sell it out after they copped a fairly ordinary fixture for their coin last year.

I truly think they will send it to Canberra - Canberra would sell it out quick as at an overpriced rate due to it being the first and probably last time it will be there.

Surely they would have to offer first tickets to those that have already purchased tickets for the MCG? I am sure plenty of people from NSW and QLD were travelling to Melbourne.
