Yes 2 blokes dying from freak accidents that have happened maybe once or twice ever in the history of their respective sports rupturing an artery from shots to the head is certainly a silly analogy

Meh there was head contact. It isn’t hard to NOT shoulder charge. Lucky it wasn’t more than a sin bin

The replay of the ‘shoulder charge’ shows that contact is with his chest, old mates head comes down and hits his chin on Talaki’s back.
I reckon Talaki’s arm was out ready to wrap but he hit him that good that by the time he went to wrap old mate was on the ground.
Going against him is that the NRL is rightfully trying to look after players health and especially their heads. He’ll have a holiday.

There is a much higher rate of injury per event from shoulder charges vs bouncers and you f**king know it.

boo f**king goo people get injured. It’s a contact sport, people are supposed to get injured.

You brought up deaths. Deaths are equally rare in league and cricket.

The head contact I would argue was from the dogs bloke’s head whiplashing down into the shoulder of the sharks player. It wasn’t direct contact to the head.

i have no idea what the end game is for removing all danger from league. Might as well just merge with the super rugby where they red card people for any lifting or shoulder first tackles

There are plenty of other differences as you well know. Severity of injury from shoulder charge, the fact the head is unprotected and the long-term effects of concussion.

But hey, you keep making disingenuous arguments and crying that we can’t see blokes getting their brains scrambled for your entertainment.
