The Fox’s reaction to Burton scoring shows how important he is too a team I reckon.
Great team man and provides awesome morale for the boys.
Massive mistake from Freddy leaving him out of Origin.

Get worse in every single Union world cup

The last RWC no team scored over 80 and there was only one match with a team scoring 70 and that is with a higher system of scoring.

There are some blow outs in the RWC like most world cups but nothing like the enormity and frequency of the RLWC. Anyone who thinks they are comparable in terms of competitiveness is in denial.

We also have a problem with the sport itself. A few years ago, Barcelona played Celtic and utterly out classed them. Barca had about 90% of the possession, dozens of shots on goal and Celtic only made one rather long shot attempt in the entire game.
Celtic won, 1-0.
Rugby league is a merciless game. We saw moments when the Scots as a team reacted better, soo the Austrailian just beat them individually. And, if every player on one team is better than every player on another, then the lesser team has no chance at all.
You can kill a game of rugby union and hope for a break, in soccer there are huge upsets regularly and the best team does not always win. In rugby league, the biggest upsets are not than big. I can think of Salford vs Wigan in 1995.

High-scoring and competitive are two different concepts here.

In RWC2019, only 12 pool matches out of 37 were decided by 20pts or less, most of the other 25 games being blowouts where the losing side only scored single digits. The only really competitive pool was D - in which Australia was relegated to second by Wales.

Hardly what you'd call competitive.

And that's not a stab at the rugby WC either - pool stages of most World Cups in most sports result in lopsided scorelines.

Such a bizarre selection.

Fix is a legitimate whole of field strike weapon.

Just the threat of a short midfield kick changes the defensive structure.

Instead we got to watch Tupou drop the series on a nothing kick.

We probably would have been worse with him to be fair. The coward forwards rolled over and that was that
