2021 the year we needed

The club needed this to happen, stop gap coach Morrison, gone, overpaid underperforming players who put themselves before the team, gone, miss the finals for the first time in 7 years because we are not a Storm or Roosters and need to get hungry for the privilege to play finals, done, new coach with a winners mentality signed, done, a winning assistant signed, done, renovation and upgrade of home ground, hopefully ready to start for next year, done.
Still to do, resolve on field leadership problems, I get the feeling no one on this forum really believes Wade is the right man for the job, 2 very experienced leaders coming but giving them the gig could cause disharmony, potential problem arising, the team still needs a couple of specialist players to fill positions, current need:
At least 1 prop, Fifita is done he has barely played in 2 years and it shows on the field.
The team needs a ball plying centre, we have the basher in Ramien but we need an ET, Tracey is not that player.
Im not sure about the fringe players we have, names get bandied around in the forum like Pele and Ferris but with no NSW cup games they are untested and have now missed out on 2 years development.
Hopefully the stars align and 2022 is a better year because I don’t want the Sharks to become the new Bulldogs, Tigers or Cowboys as I think the Raiders are becoming because they haven’t had a 2021 type of season yet.

I don't know how many times people need to hear it - there is No renovation or upgrade to the ground. They probably won't even repaint the row numbers in the aisles.

Don't expect anything to be done when we go back next year.

The place will be a construction site with alot of it in accessible by the sounds of it.

Still better than Kogarah though.

On the squad issues, yeah we're not yet complete but we don't need to do it in the one season. Why rush it. It's going to take Fitz/Price more than one year to get us back to a defensive juggernaut anyway. 2022 is the first year of the building process imo. With hopefully improvement and a goal of top 6 should be possible.

Agree with all this. 2022 squad shaping up but still wants a big-body starting middle and prototype centre.
I just wonder whether Fitz will bring any players from the current Roosters squad ? I'd expect some news on that front once the Roosters have been knocked out of the semis.

Leadership will be sorted out. Any disharmony will be from people who are their now and they won’t want to rock the boat. Fitz is a huge team first guy. People will get on or be thrown off.

Agreed, though not sure who they might be. They seem to have locked up alot of their good off contract players.

I think the amount of serious injuries and forced retirements in the rorters camp might of had a lot to do with locking in some of the lot you mentioned Tiger

I would imagine that Fitz would have a gentleman’s agreement with Robbo and Nick not to poach any players until the dust has settled on the season. I would also suggest that the signing news would stay quiet over the next little bit while all clubs assess their stocks until the next batch of approaches are made come November 1. Not to say we won’t make a couple of more mid tier signings for next year though.

I just read all your posts including the first one where you said you were new. I'll bet London to a brick you're not new. I'd stake my left nut on it

Not all overpaid underperforming players are gone, we still have Moylan.
