Hopefully both games are streamed.
Looking forward to a less interrupted season this year with plenty of crowds and home games. Fingers crossed…
We didn’t really handle the move to SE QLD last year.
The vs Smugs trial has been on FTA a few timesExpecting the dragons game to be a similar type of squad to what we fielded v Penrith in the last round last year
Go for the full dress rehearsal v Ruff.
Last few years our trials were streamed via the NRL app, Not sure have ever been telecast on Fox, or rarely have

Maybe you are right. NRL app coverage been ok though. Can’t recall any others than the bushfire charity match we did in Bega couple of years back . Then again I have avoided ch9 last few years
The Charity Shield is also on the 26/2

But but match fitness! It's things like this (only one trial for the majority of NRL players) that make me think 'match fitness' isn't the big deal it's made out to be. Though I guess pre-season training more closely resembles match conditions than training done during the season. It'll be comprised of players who played less than 5 NRL games the year before, NRL mandate.

I hope I can watch these live. Also, it's 28 days until round one.
I think match fitness is a thing, but at the start of the season everyone is the same ..... injured merkins coming back against others who have played for weeks shows up match fitness. But but match fitness! I think the only certainties are:Who is your top 17? I feel like it picks itself and I do not see any surprises bar the 14 jersey which will be Rein or Stone I think.
If all fit I don't see Kafusi in the top 17.
Simmons and Dunster will be in the wing.
Forward pack picks itself.
Marata is suspended and N.Brown I read won't be ready for a few rounds potetialy.
I'm sure it's a thing, I just don't think it's more important than risking injury in matches that don't matter. Otherwise teams would play more trials. It's why legit first graders rarely come back from injury in reserve grade.I think match fitness is a thing, but at the start of the season everyone is the same ..... injured merkins coming back against others who have played for weeks shows up match fitness.
And i agree full time training these days makes more effort to mimick the match conditions .... as opposed to just run f**kin laps ffs, its good for you
I think the only certainties are:
1. Gutherson
2. Simonsson
3. Blake
4. Penisini
5.
6. Drown
7. Moses
8. RCG
9. Mahoney
10. Paulo
Then there's another bunch of certainties in the top 17, but where they start (edge/middle/bench) is less certain:
Matterson
Papali'i
Nrown
Cartwright
Niukore
Lane
It'll be those six plus one more making up the back row and bench. The one more will likely come from these:
Kaufusi
Rein
Stone
Makatoa
That final wing spot is out of Sivo, Dunster and Russell.
