Its good to see some of the clubs announcing their signings.
Good to see some clubs returning to Tarsha Gale and Norths starting up a side.

Very interesting (and somewhat disappointing) to read Kezie Apps and Jess Sergis have signed with the Wests Tigers for the 2022 HNWP season.
The Tigers have been a great supporter of the women's game and their HNWP team is given a really high profile, I was actually surprised they did not get one of the 2 WNRL spots.

BUT while these 2 signings will obviously benefit Wests, its a real kick in the pants for Helensburg who are in the early stages of being in the comp and started to show some great signs. I don't think its in the spirit of building the women's game at all especially as Wests have some great young players coming through and could be developed and have a less mercenary feel.

Anyway the comp will be interesting with Canberra joining and Newcastle re-joining which is great especially if Bec Young is back involved after being screwed over a couple of years ago.
Sad to see Cabra out of the comp and Glebe not given another year to prove they are developing

But we are seing a steady building of district A grade tier in womens RL

How W-NSWRL clubs evolve into NRLW clubs will have a key baring on things

Today its non NRLW clubs where we basucally see the girls swap jersies between comps

I agree and think Helensburgh if they haven't will fold, which is a shame, some of their players really improved.
Cabra of 2018 were very good and 2019 were not bad and could have been good but for an imbecile that was brought on to do stats and decided to try and take over coaching, which lead to the implosion of the team and nothing to work with in 2020/21.

Do you know the reason by the Tigers coach was replaced ?
I thought he was good, I do notice said imbecile was also at the Tigers after Cabra and wonder if that was anything to do with Neil getting let go ?

Its going to be interesting how HNWP evolves as the NRLW expands. There may or may not be a correlation between teams in the comps but I think eventually players will play either not both.
I do know that NSW is starting to insist on a pathway , Tarsha Gale - HNWP - NRLW but I am not sure its going to be simple especially with players playing in a HNWP team not related to the NRLW team they play in.

St George are in an interesting situation if Helensburgh pull out, they have 2 TG cup teams but no HNWP association. Apparently they turned down an offer by Glebe to develop an agreement for their pathway

Not a clue, the coaching structure of the club is very tight-lipped when it comes to changes. Who knows really.

It's an interesting point in here though regarding pathways - since the comps mostly get played separate from each other, I don't imagine there's much issue, yet, in regards to playing for multiple clubs.

Just heard the terrible news that Helensburgh has withdrawn from the HNWP in 2022.
Sad news all due to selfish actions by the West Tigers. I know you have to succeed but its all about growing the woman's game not killing it off.
in my opinion, the West Tigers have stuffed up, got rid of good staff (but didn't bother telling them) They only needed to get rid of one but they kept him That one they should have punted is actually still there and is a specialist at creating toxic environments. and has very poor RL knowledge. Not talking about a player's partner who does know his stuff.

Its also sad that the Dragons did step up and support Helensburgh, letting their TG players (from 2 successful teams) get taken by other clubs.

Sometimes you have to step back and think is it good for the game. I have seen great work done between TG teams/clubs in the name of growing the game. Combined with Glebe being rejected its not good

they need to upset at their clubs first and foremost. The submissions they put in were well below what was expected and they did not want to spend what was necessary to develop the game at the elite level.
If the reaction is to improve what they do with Woman's RL then thats great
If the reaction is dump the TG and then systematically breakdown a quality HNWP team then that's bad.
