After losing the grand final (the February one, not the October one) Souths will play a spoiling, grinding type of game. I will be very interested in the Reynolds/Ilias matchup.
I don't think the Broncos will be comfortable with the style of play that Souths will bring.

Brisbane look well over the odds but not sure I can pick them for the straight win without reynolds.

Reynolds has Covid? How? Before he was to play, were it not a condition to be at least double vaxxed like the situation with Penrith's Api Koroisau?

You can still get covid and transmit it after having the vaccine. You need to be negative and have isolated for a week to play.

A week would expire on Thursday so Reynolds could technically play, but they don’t want to have him playing without proper conditioning. Paix has it too.

I realise that about the transmission whilst vaxxed. My point is, how is it that he has left it to the 11th hour to get treatment, or was he an anti-vaxxer who took his chances against getting it? Any way, whether it was last week, or 6 months ago, the onus was on him to sort his situation out well before the season started.

Sadly I've long since written this game off. I can just see the side dropping their heads at training as soon as they heard Reynolds wouldn't be playing. They would know how crucial he is to our position this year as we do. After watching the trials I just can't see that spine achieving anything constructive in the red zone, and that frustration will strangle the side in defence as well.

Very much expecting more of the same from the last few years for R1 at least.

He could be triple vaxxed and still get covid. The vax doesn't prevent you from getting it or transmitting it. It does something apparently, but that is a discussion for a different thread. I'm scratching my head wondering how you think Reynolds could have done anything different?

11th hour? He got covid and then immediately went into treatment. He was vaxxed months and months ago. The broncos announced 100% vaccination status by November (I think).

That depends, if the 8 looks like it did last year with the 8th placed team winning 10 and losing 14, even your mob are a chance
5/8, hooker & fullback coupled with an injury prone 1/2 is the biggest hurdle for you this year.

Our best finish 7th (unlikely) & worst 14th.
