Don’t flatter yourself. Our teams aren’t remotely related.It's always difficult to try and beat your big brother no matter how much older, unfit or fat he is.

A very astute observation in all areas, particularly in regards to Salmon and the way Cleary was described in that tackle.Oh well shit happens, a couple of points:
The next few weeks gives a few players a chance to prove what they are capable of and with luck, may set us up for the finals with a fresh Luai and Cleary. Ideally, it would be good if they can come back a few weeks before the finals so they can get a bit of mach fitness.
- One of the things that was lost in the inept commentary by Fox was that Jennings left the field after 28 minutes and never came back. During that 12 minutes to half time, we conceded two more tries as the team tried to adjust to losing their halfback and their right centre. May moved in off the wing, Staines went to left wing and Tago to right centre. If Jennings hadn't also left the field we may have kept the score closer. As it was, we needed the half time break to reorganise ourselves;
- In view of the loss of Jennings and Cleary and the ensuing shuffle of positions, the second half performance was quite extraordinary. Consider this: The Eels run for 1980 metres vs Panthers 1720 and that is after having 55% possession and 7 more tackle sets (42 more play the balls). They made less metres per set and had a slower play the ball speed. I noticed that Arthur was not gloating about the win at all, and praised the Panthers for their second half. He was happy for the two points but he looked a bit pissed off;
- Any doubts that May and Tago are a bit special were dispelled during this game. Tago moved to right centre and run for 232m and made 26 tackles at 86%. May moved to centre and run for 99m and 19 tackles at 90%. Boys, take a bow. I have no doubt May could be a quality centre with a bit of work on his passing game;
- Can we stop with this "Salmon is crap" bollocks once and for all. Thrown on into chaos, he handled the ball 32 times, made 25 tackles at 89%, 4 kicks and run for 75m. A fantastic effort considering the circumstances. But I see his effort every time he plays and I just don't get the negativity expressed by some people. Sure, he isn't a future immortal but every time he plays he gives a whole hearted effort, sticks his tackles and doesn't mind taking a hit up into the forwards, on yer JS;
- The tackle was clearly dangerous and deserved a send off, but Brown landed on his back not his head and he wasn't driven into the ground as described by some frothing at the mouth, hyped up journo. Hopefully, this is recognised by calmer heads at the judiciary and he only gets three weeks not four or five.;
- O'Sullivan is a classy player. The Dolphin's have got a good signing there. He took control of the team and in the second half really helped us keep control of the game. A try, 28 tackles and 11 kicks, well done Sean.
What happened? I didn't see him get on report.Whose laughing now Parra?...Moses gone for 4 weeks
Disregard my last question..Requires surgery for a broken finger
Yes we are:Don’t flatter yourself. Our teams aren’t remotely related.
Aware of that. I had three older sisters who were Drum Majorettes (marching girls) in Cambridge park. My father was then President. He (and other members) were approached by Panthers to be the marching girls for the team, but wouldn't as rugby league players were seen as being unseemly at that time. Therefore I knew that the Panthers (a local team) were going to play in the big arena. Hence I was supporting them before they entered the then version of the NRL.1966 was Penrith's final year in the 2nd division before their 1st grade debut the following season, and they played in Blue.
I bet you have some interesting scrapbooks and photo albums.Aware of that. I had three older sisters who were Drum Majorettes (marching girls) in Cambridge park. My father was then President. Our inbred cousins from the East.Don’t flatter yourself. Our teams aren’t remotely related.
I still have some Cambridge Park junior league finals programs somewhere , there are some interesting names that are scattered through the gradesI bet you have some interesting scrapbooks and photo albums.
Always very good at centre coming through and in cup..as you said cant judge off 60mins with 12 men.Rough to judge him on this gane but May looked awful at centre
He was very good. Defending at centre is the hard part. 19 tackles at 90% efficiency is as good as the Eels centre and he was moved there in chaos and hasn't trained in that position. He made two poor passes but he had positioned Staines well and he just needs to practice in that position.Rough to judge him on this gane but May looked awful at centre

There will certainly be silver lining positives to come from this game over the next 5 weeks. And another silver lining is that both our Flegg and Reserve graders have the bye in the final round. So if we have sewn up the Minor Premiership, we can afford to rest even more players before the first week of the finals.

Nathan got the right suspension. But if we wanted to get the suspension lowered both Ivan and Nathan shouldn’t have been as open on Friday night about how he was guilty. If they have of come out and said it wasn’t that bad a tackle because of x,y,z (landed on his back, tackle gone wrong, etc) the pressure would have been on the MRC and they would have folded like they do every time.My issue with it all is just the lack of conistency.
NAS not even sighted for his grub act.. JWH the biggest grub in the game...was he sighted for his dog act?
Watch carrigan get 2 weeks for breaking hastings leg...
Naths was deserving of 4-5 weeks.
But it is a deadset lottery if you gwt sighted and what the suspension should be...
NAS and JWH thought they were in the UFC driving elbows into blokes jaws. An intentional act...
Surely that is worth more than an careless tackle like naths.
But nup not even sighted... the nrl really is a joke..
Those two tackles from those 2 could easily easily have broken jaws. And to do what they did is intentional..you dont drop your elbow into a blokes face like that accidentally..
So nath sits out 5 weeks...those 2 grubs get nothing.. carrigan will probs get 2 or 3 weeks lol.
What an absolute laughing stock the nrl mrc and judiciary is..i mean it really is embarrasing how they are just continously soo shit haha

Not really the point i was trying to make.You've gone off a bit early about Carrigan - he hasn't had his judiciary hearing yet.
Of the 4 players that I can recall being referred straight to the judiciary this year, the average penalty is 4.5 weeks. And that brought down by Brandon Smith and Marcelo Montoya's incidents being verbal not physical.
Mitch Barnett got 6 weeks, and Corey Waddell 5 weeks. And they were both first time offences for the year.
