I do wonder if it is just being scared of being challenged to be better , i've met plenty of those types in my life , happy to cruise along doing just enough , don't want to work any harder , don't want to be a " success " .

Put up a bit of a cryptic insta post too for a bloke that looks like he hardly ever posts anything, so probably has legs..

fizman left him out of his team a couple of pages back for a rooster also?

The thing that bothers me about Nikora is he shows no passion. He doesn’t fire up when the team scores, doesn’t seem dissapointed when he fux up. Literally goes out plays and then had a shower. Does he speak?

It was just all the Kiwi fellas in the team for a farewell to SJ, I think. Maybe not so cryptic.

“greatful” was the caption.. johnson also commented and reposted. I dunno maybe reading too much in to it, but goes a bit with the warriors talk I feel
Like I said, all the Kiwi boys being "grateful" to have played with SJ. And SJ's comment is just saying that he and Nikora will always be mates.
SJ reposting to say thanks to them all.
Way too much being read into it.

Wow, if Nikora wants to leave then that’s honestly quite a surprise to me. He seemed to be pretty well liked by his teammates and if he wants to leave and go to the fkn Warriors then good luck to him but it would be a silly move.

It would be a shame to lose Briton but if he wants to go, Teig is a ready made replacement.

He was re-signed off the back of a break out rookie year and was a John Morris signing. He's also not really gone close to reaching those heights since.

Could be he's on decent money and we're creating cap space for an incoming signing.

In about 6 weeks he can sign for someone else for '23 anyway, so that's when it will be found out whom his manager has been talking to already.

why would you want to leave the sharks to play in a forward pack with Matt Lodge and Kane Evans?
Nikora isn't a thug, he wont fit in.

He won't go.

Fitzy will sit him down.

Tell him his plan.

How important he is.

What he will learn from finucane.

How his game will get back on track.

How he sees him as a future leader.

Give him a cuddle.

Nikora will fold and stay.

The poor bugger has been playing with some absolute bums for a few years. The service from the Chad was complete shit. Maybe he thought he shouldve been captain and then had to sit and watch the pillow lead the team out each week and then lead from the back for the next 70.
Training under hannay wouldve been a farce. Nikora loves defence and we obviously never worked on it.

Who wouldnt be pizzed.

I want another powerful fast middle but looking at our squad we have a lot of middle forwards and very very few edge backrowers or outside backs.

Middles currently are:

Fifita
Pele
Hunt
Rudolph
Williams
Finucane
McInnes**
Uele
Talakai

I don’t see Williams or Talakai as edge forwards other than a few games in emergencies.

From my account we only have Wade, Wilton & Nikora on our books as specialist edges.

Wade could be gone at any point from Rd1 if he cops another head knock so can’t rely on him.

We need at least 1 edge back rower and that’s without Nikora moving on if that happens then 2 more.

To fit another middle in our squad I think we need to lose 1 off our books first, as much as I want our squad middle heavy 1 more middle brings us to 10 out of 30 with first grade experience will leave us 1 short on Edge or Center once the rest of our squad is done.

We have enough half, fullback and utility spots covered.

Agree with this….plenty of middles. Need a couple of guys that can play edge/centre. If Jesse goes down we’re very skinny. Imajine Fitz is onto the deficits in the squad and can now devote a lot more time to the good guys. Also imagine Nov 1 will trigger some movement and negotiations across the whole comp.
