Roosters are certainties on Saturday, Walker taken out or not. They’ve still certainly underachieved so far this year, but they’re much better than Sharks.

Also that's the same Sam Walker who made 20 tackles against Souths without one miss, and sat a few of the bigger bodied Souths players on their respective backsides too.

Good lord you know you are in short supply of hard forwards when you have to trot out Jesse Ramien as your heavy artillery.

the dumbest thing the sharks could do is try to turn it into a battle of attrition
Sam runs towards centres

All this silliness over moving to Allianz. Why don't they move it to their other home ground Jubilee? Will get at least 8k more bums on seats and doesn't give their opponents home advantage. Roosters have 0% win rate there in 2023 too :p

Indeed. Only reason the media bring up Allianz is so they can whinge and moan about it as money "ill spent" on it as its not being used for finals matches.

For mine, the NRL should have said at the start of the year, before the season started, that if it was still at reduced capacity due to construction, then Shark Park could not be used for finals matches. Its moot now, but personally I believe that is what should have been done. Then if the Sharks had qualified for a home finals match, they could choose which alternate venue to host it.

I also would not be surprised if Walker tears us apart.

I just do not have any idea, will not be betting. Might be close or either team could win easily.

Maybe us with a home ground penalty.

Absolutely agree on both points. Week 1 of finals occasionally throws up this dilemma and it sucks when it happens. 12k capacity for a finals game 2 years in a row is appaling though.

We gotta give the usual suspects reason to hate on us.

I must admit the pitiful cry babies give me so much joy though

At the end of the day the Sharks have earnt the right to host the game at their home ground. They have obligations to their members and sponsors, not the oppostion fans or media. This situation is shit for all involved and can be spun for anyone's agenda.
I just hope they can finish this building so next season it can hold more fans

I got my ticket, so that’s all I care about. I am thoroughly looking forward to being immensely outnumbered.

personally I couldn’t give a stuff about where finals are hosted. Clubs get exactly zero revenue from gate takings anyway and the place will be absolutely buzzing. A packed to the gills shark park will have way better atmosphere than 25k at Allianz.

Also, anyone complaining that they didn’t want to go because they’d have to sit behind the posts or stand on a muddy hill is a bandwagoner and can get f**ked

I hate our little brother, the sharts, but I hate the rorters even more. Biggest hype job of 2023. "Big game players" to choke.

The Rorters were poor the majority of the year but have come good late in the year, albeit against unremarkable opposition. Sharks have underwhelmed for most of the year against quality teams. I guess we'll find out if the Rorters are still a quality team...

We have the same amount of wins as them against the top 3 this season, that being 0. We played 5 games against said teams whilst they played 3. It's not unreasonable to suggest that right there is the reason our finishing positions aren't reversed.

They are 4-3 against the rest of the 8 and we are 3-2

Of course in the one head to head this season they did beat us at shark park in a tight contest.

Yep I'm a taxpayer and I'm upset about it not being played at the sfs
