One thing really confuses me is Trindall not getting on the field. Could have really used his kicking game for the last 15

I’d really like to hear how Fitzy planned on using him, because if he only had him on the bench as back up it’ll be the first time I criticise Craig.

Having a big body like Hazelton on the bench instead would have really helped us in the middle.

He played under Stuart.

A true mentor in how to waste bench spots.

Without trying to be a pr!ck but generally the Warriors don’t do come backs. Historically drop their bundle when behind.

Yes, that's fair. As much as Webster tries to deflect praise for this, he has brought resilience and self-belief to the club. It's new.

Id challenge any warriors fans who'd know more then i would
If there has ever been a better warriors win anywhere in the last 28 years ?

Probably Warriors v Bulldogs in 2001. But then again, that was several good minutes, rather than a great half of footy.

Plus Jones missed the final conversion, so we only escaped with a draw there.
And like you say that was six good minutes, whereas this time we outplayed the sharks for 60.

Oh, that's right...well then, that's out.

Maybe the one when Johns got his jaw broken?

Or the Tigers semi with the Inu try.

But yeah...this is up there.

The Tigers one was great but I’d actually put the victory over the Storm in Melbourne the following week to make the GF above it - maybe because I was there, haha. Also the semi vs the Dogs where Meli scored 5. I’d also put our first win over the Broncos in 01’ up there.

I agree. I’d say the 03’ semi vs Dogs and 11’ prelim vs Storm are our two best ever. The Sharks prelim in 02’ ranks pretty highly up there too

For some reason, I thought we were talking about comeback wins

I'd put it to warriors fans that most of these examples are good ones , but the warriors teams on those occasions were much more highly rated then this one , with some very handy players in them

no one in control of their senses thought this present squad would do anything much in 2023 . They beat a pretty good team today on their patch & from well behind after stalling on the starting blocks. That takes enormous belief & a steelish attitude & why I think it may be the best Ive seen.

I can't wait to watch them next week against the equally gritty Knights in Newy
should be a bottler ..

We came back from 20-0 against the knights in 05. This equals that record.
Wasn’t that the game where the Knights folded after Joey Johns knocked himself out tackling Jerome Ropati? I’ll put this one above that because the Sharks didn’t have that kind of excuse today.

I hope I'm wrong but neither team will go far this year with these defensive efforts.

The 2001 and 2006 sides were similar to this one. Rookie coach, coming off poor seasons with a lot of off field distractions, and pretty much written off pre-season. Not so much the case in 2002-03 and 2008-11 when Anderson and Cleary’s sides had established themselves.
