He took out John Mackay in the Panasonic Cup semi final against Easts in 1987 late in the game, late hit after he had passed the ball, Mackay was in hospital for ages after that incident, luckily though Mackay did play again in 1988.

I found some highlights of the game and you can see the incident at the 10.42 sec mark

Jesus thats hard.....Jimmy hit mackay so hard in the head he tore his groin.....

Let alone the events happened in different countries, with different police officers involved (if any at all in the LV case). Yes Kerr was hard done by, but blimey that twitter post is drawing a very long bow in my opinion.
She wasn't hard done by, not when it comes to the media and her employer.

Put NRL players in that exact scenario and they 100% cop a long suspension.

Did you notice how quickly that report of him tearing his groin was ? he had hardly left the field so it was a bit early to work out what the injury was then, Mackay was actually in hospital in traction after that and they only put you in traction if something is broken or dislocated.

I'm not quite up to speed on women's soccer but I thought Sam Kerr was accused of racially vilifying a police officer (didn't deny it either) and then hired expensive legal representation to get off the charges? I'm not sure of the relevance here, or the point trying to be made?

There is none - Just stupid people trying to make it a men vs women thing.... again.

Never mind that the cases are astronomically different, that's just obstacles for the mental gymnastics.

Did you notice they were holding his leg as he went off? Referred pain?

Yeah i did, i also remember him being in hospital in traction for a time afterwards.
It also depends on the way he fell after getting the late shot to head, the highlights really only show the late high shot and not the aftermath until he was being carried off. Either way it was a late high shot which should have earned more than a penalty.

No argument there
