Those stats include magic and gather rounds as well as suns games in Darwin.

Taking just the games played on the GC for either club doesn't tell the story you want it to.

Important to note that that round average is higher than the best season average ever before 2023.

It's not gonna be the big matches that get our average up but rather the less glamorous ones improving.

So, the Titans and Suns crowds are pretty much the same. That doesn't mean that the GC is no longer a RL town - the AFL has a lot more travelling fans, and puts a lot of thought into the Suns fixture such as have Richmond and Collingwood play during Vic holidays. The sellout crowds are half Victorians.

Newcastle is selling well for this weekend's match against Parramatta. Sideline seats are at a premium, southern hill is sold out and a fair chunk of the upper grandstand seats on both sides have gone.

If weather holds out, trending more towards 25K, which is pretty remarkable for 12th v 17th.
