Good crowd for a Thursday night to watch the wooden spooners.11,520 at Leichhardt tonight.
Same game a few years ago would have got half that.
A full suburban ground looks great on TV

Looks great indeed. Where on earth would you fit another 8000 humans? The capacity of that ground does my head in.Good crowd for a Thursday night to watch the wooden spooners.

Current capacity is supposedly capped at 16,000 according to Richardson. The $40m upgrade will get it back up towards 19,000.Looks great indeed. Where on earth would you fit another 8000 humans? The capacity of that ground does my head in.
I was there in the "good old days" with 22K before people worried about people going home after football games.Looks great indeed. Where on earth would you fit another 8000 humans? The capacity of that ground does my head in.
NG-K is on sale. $35 bucks and mentions restricted view.Looking at this weekend's matches:
Storm v Dolphins : Solid sales, although I had hoped for more considering it is the last regular season game. On track for 18K+, however for whatever reason member attendance in the later half of the season has been pretty average for Melbourne. If everyone turns up, it should go over 20K, but not sure, last few home games have been disappointing compared to pre-sales.
Dragons v Sharks : Unsurprisingly selling very strongly, should be a sell out, question will be whether they open up Bay NG-K after he negative feedback they got for the 25th anniversary match.
Titans v Roosters : Pre-sales are barely moving, though in credit to the Titans they have gifted every full season member 2 free tickets to bring along some friends for the match which will hopefully add a little to the crowd.
Raiders v Panthers : Surprisingly selling similar to Raiders v Sea Eagles a few weeks back. I would have thought the Raiders faithful may have given up on the season, but we could be seeing another 15K+ game to finish off the year.
Kids also freeLevel 2 North Bays - 220, 221, 225, 226 & 227 have already been put on sale for the inaugural Emergency Services match on September 1.
Roosters have also started marketing the match via social ads and even telegraph poles around Darlinghurst.
I had expected this match to get 20K+, just because of how strong Roosters crowds have been this year & with Finals just around the corner, but in credit to the club, they are trying to turn it into a far bigger event.
Well the government can't make them play there forever? They're trying but the Govt doesnt want a white elephant at Accor
No but they can certainly incentivise/disincentivise a move.Well the government can't make them play there forever?
24,295 announced in Auckland.
36,289 @ Suncorp - don't agree with that, I wonder if they let in folk without scanning due to the alarm drama
72,104 from first 3 games. Need 87,896 from the remaining 5 to finish with 20K average for the round, which will be a stretch, but possible.
More likely to finish around 152K / 19K average.
