If the GF sells out in the last 24 hrs that shows it was priced correctly?

If it sells out quickly it was underpriced and the NRL has left money on the table, if it doesn't sell out it was over priced.
They’ve opened up $55 restricted view tickets again. Who knows what that means?

Yeah most categories (except Bronze) seem to be up about $20 over the last couple of years.

Brave of them to stick to that increase plan with this matchup.

That said, the GF has been priced very premiumly for over a decade now. So it's not exactly new for them to be expensive.

IMO, the negative press/social media that comes from not selling out, or 'hasnt sold out and the games tomorrow so lets run 2-for-1 deals'...is far more costly than leaving a bit of money on the table for pricing tickets slightly cheaper and ensuring demand.

I assume there is a portion of people who have been trained to wait for deals on those not moving seats. Slightly surprised we haven't seen at least some seats moved to silver.

It's worth mentioning those corners were also gold last year and sold out nearly immediately. So it's not like price is the only problem.

Agree.

NRL needs to think long term here.

The only way to increase prices long term is to create FOMO.

And the only way to create FOMO is to ensure the GF sells out every year, on the Monday after PF weekend.

Take a step back, price the game at a level where it sells out quickly, then gradually increase prices.
