What is stopping the NRL for games at accor or Allianz offering free entry to any season ticket holder of any club in the game ?

Do the clubs rally against this , ?
The clubs have rallied against the NRL stepping in and offering deals in the past.

Whilst not free entry, the NRL use to run Sunday FunDay's which were aimed at selling discounted family tickets at the likes of Accor & Allianz, and I can assure you, the clubs that were not the beneficiaries would jump up and down about it.

Unfortunately the clubs are just selfish. It's not like the AFL doesn't have the same issues, however one thing they smartly have done, is they have injected themselves into the deals at the MCG & Docklands and their are incentives for everyone to co-operate.

A good example of this is the AFL deal with the MCG. The AFL agrees that 46 games will be played at the venue for year, in exchange all clubs that take games there will be paid a minimum of $100K per game. In addition, there are attendance incentives of:
  • $1.50 per head for attendances between 2.1m and 2.5m patrons
  • $2.00 per head for attendances between 2.5m to 3m patrons
  • $3.00 per head for attendances in excess of 3m patrons
In addition, the bigger clubs, like Collingwood, have been able to negotiate other benefits above and beyond the per game fee, so long as they also stick to the per game ticket pricing and any away fan memberships / etc.

Yep!

Cowboys
Dolphins
Titans
Penrith
Bulldogs

The game against Cronulla went very close too.

*caveat alert* - if we go undefeated the next two against Parra and Melbourne will probably sell out as well. A 40k average is hanging on for dear life, a bit like our season!

Fun fact. IF Broncos can sell both of those out there is a very high chance they’ll have played in front of 7 straight sellout crowds to finish the regular season, 3 home 4 away.

Knights away - Sold out.
Bulldogs home - Essentially sold out.
Titans away - Should sell out.
Cowboys away - Essentially sold out.
Eels home - Could sell out with a good run of form and finals push.
Dolphins away - Will sell out.
Storm home - Could sell out with a good run of form and finals push.

If they arent already, then the other option is to do what the Victorian AFL clubs do and offer a home and away 16-17 game membership that entitles you to access to all games your club plays in Victoria. NRL clubs could do that in Sydney - might not work as well in Sydney due to smaller venues, but matches at Allianz and Accor could be considered.

Promising signs for Saturday's clash between the Roosters & Sea Eagles with Level 2 south being opened up already.

Indicates the crowd should be pushing into 20K already. Surprisingly the club isn't running their Monday Madness offer for this game (though pretty much have for every other home game). Hopefully it won't stall momentum and we can push towards 25K+ for the game.

I'm a bit surprised how Thursday's NRLW match in Newcastle is selling. The NRL & Knights put all the lower east + hills as GA for $10 Adults & $5 kids in an effort to make the ground look good on TV.

They originally opened only 4 bays on the lower west as reserved seats at $25 for adults & $15 for kids, possibly expecting these seats not to sell because you can buy an equivalent seat on the other side for half the price.

Anyway, bays 7 & 8 are now open, with 6 reserved bays at over 95% full. I have no idea how the GA area is selling, but hopefully it is going as strongly as the reserve section (at least) and we might be looking at 14K-16K for the season opener.
I'm a member so I don't pay super close attention, but I'm pretty sure they did the Monday Madness both this Monday and last (after our bye) for the Manly game.

Anyway, promising signs for a 20k+ crowd.

Finally got my tickets and accomodation and flights and feck knows what else for the sharks v rabbits at gods own ground in Cronulla. Booked into the NRL Quest hotel for some ridiculous price. Nearly every hotel is booked out. Tickets are down to GA. Rest are exhausted. $1000 to fly inand watch an NRL game. Thanks for coming.

cheers in advance.

Allianz Stadium continuing to show all the right indicators. Category 2 GA and Category 2 Away supporter bays have now been sold out.

Currently there is only 10 Category 1 and 14 Category 2 seats available in the lower bowl, so the sidelines are pretty much gone there.

On Level 2, 229 is down to single seats & 228 & 230 are more than 90% sold. On the corporate hospitality side, most is sold, except for about 20 Captains Club tickets.

Assuming no tickets are left for release, Broncos game is sold out except for a handful of disabled access seats.

Now really would be a perfect time for Dolphins to start running some promotion and deals for their game Sunday afternoon.

“Missed out on Saturday after footy at Suncorp? Or just want more? How about some Sunday afternoon footy!?”

Not too hard surely. Run some 2 for 1 or %off deals, Titans members in for cheap etc. It’d be a shame if the other 2 SEQ clubs couldn’t crack 25k at Suncorp on a Sunday afternoon.

Restricted view in level 6 west and level 7 east haven’t been released yet. Should have been yesterday. Frustrating!

Only a few seats are held in 305, 338, and 603 which should be released soon too. But 42-44k will happen.

I’d like to know the theory behind the way theyrelease tickets. For concerts too. It seems really odd.

Not opening the top level (where one exists) until the lower level reaches some % of fill or speed of fill makes sense. But otherwise…?

* not just Suncorp but in general

Seems like the Titans ticketing team is waiting closer to game day for flexi members to opt in for this game. Below is what is available to the public, and the second one below it is what is being held back for flexi members / if members give their code for someone to use for the discount.

Las Vegas 2025 Pre-Sale:
From what I can gather the Wahs bay has already sold out. Looking to have already sold a heap more compared to the release for 2024.

Nice seeing them selling on Level 3 so early. Hopefully it's only the middle bays on Level 1 that have been held back, and some of the other near empty bays haven't been held back for other reasons.

Dolphins marketing seems to be really underwhelming

broncos have upped their game to protect their turf and dolphins happy just to sit back and get what they get

Looks really good, but I wouldn't get too excited too early. The Wahs bay is probably mostly held for charter flight sales and will come available soon. Broncos bay was the same last year.

A few more of those 'chunks' look to be the same. I think we'll see 50-60k next year though!
