For a seq derby on a nice sunny Sunday with dolphins travelling well, yeh it’s not great is it? Dolphins hype dying off already?
What’s the PAX for this weeks game in WA and the capacity? Hoping for a good crowd

They got 11k against Manly a while back...

Like uhh...have some perspective?
That was a Thursday game, both teams had the wobbles at the time. Should’ve been played at Redcliffe where a majority of their supporters live, rather than 40km away by car (over an hour on a train) on a school night

This is probably a good example of how scheduling could be better.

Trackwork Calendars are produced well in advance and could probably be accounted for.

I mean yeah.

I am happy for reasons to be laid out I just want the courtesy returned for Sydney clubs.

Mt Smart Stadium has sold out this morning for Warriors v Eels.

Very little left in the lower ends of the North & South sides of Perth Oval. I can't be bothered counting, but easily <1,500 tickets left for Friday's game.

Bulldogs have released some last minute 'Blue Zone GA' tickets for Sunday at Belmore and Shark Park is down to GA only.
Full grounds is a good look for the NRL regardless of their capacity apart from shark park but at least they finally sold out their 10k tickets.

Penrith have competed in four grand finals since 2020. They can only draw an average of 17,999. God help them when they go back to being wooden spooners.
That includes the 12k crowd at Bathurst. The real average is around 19k which is just a couple thousand below capacity. This is the best case scenario for any sports team as it only takes one rained out game to compromise the figures.

In a few years we will average 22-23k when the capacity goes up to 25k.

Also we’re about to make it five-straight and four peat so eat a bag of dicks.

dolphins crowds have been a bit poor this year and yet some people are saying we should add another Brisbane side to the nrl within the next five years
What sane person is advocating for another Brisbane side? We will be hitting a 20 team competition soon and Brisbane 3 will be nowhere near it.

Edit: Roosters/Manly game getting 25,000 is massive!
Is it? Sydney people were saying 17K in Melbourne vs Roosters was poor in a wet crap day. Also at the say time there was a ALF game next door at theMCG where there was 70K. Yet two top eight Sydney teams get 25K and that is massive. Is RL the main sport in NSW?

Fair enough

I noticed the really bad traffic hasn’t stopped the titans game selling out this week

maybe broncos fans are flying down In helicopters

SEQ born and bred, but been living in Sydney since 2012.

The big difference between a 4:00pm game at Suncorp on a Sunday afternoon and a 3:00pm game at Robina on a Saturday afternoon is that the former has to contend with traffic returning from a weekend down the coast and the latter does not.

Throw into the mix the fact that the Broncos fanbase is spread across Brisbane (and indeed the Gold Coast) as the No.1 drawing club in the comp, and it's easy to see why this game at Robina will draw a better crowd.

It's because everyone has realised that the Titans have been the people's team all along XD

Broncos would have a comparable number of fans on the Gold Coast as the Titans do and could possibly fill CBUS on their own without anyone needing to trek down from Brisbane.

It was similar in North Queensland (though I imagine less so now) around 10-15 years ago where you could just as easily find a Broncos fan as you could a Cowboys one.

Broncos have had the benefit of time & success to build their support over the state.

Pretty impressive numbers.

looks like the sharks women team suck at drawing good crowds like the men’s team 😂😂
