????

Who's going to a footy match to see a band or a f**king DJ?

The DJs are the scourge of live football right now. All the freaking music during a game.

.

Because you need to offer something that at home doesn't give you.

My ticket was $85. For a neutral that is a feed and some beers at pub. Hell even some fans from either team will select that option

Hate to burst the bubble here but I don't find this to be remotely the case. There are a very small selection of dickhead AFL journos who make very occasional or rare statements about RL (see Mark Robinson's ludicrous claim about "AFL taking over in NSW and QLD" last week) but for the most part I have not found this at all
V’landys responds to the dickhead AFL journo “delusional, ill-informed”

“Outgoing AFL boss Gillon McLachlan has boldly declared Queensland is an “AFL state” with more participants in Australian Rules than rugby league”

Nobody in rugby league would ever say league is taking over in Victoria. Its a sign of how different the sports are

Afl is the borg of Australian sport.

Most Aussie rules commentators aren’t even allowed to be negative towards the afl or they lose their accreditation

League journo are mostly hopeless but at least they are allowed to make negative articles without fear of reprisal

If you listened to the 3AW interview the article referenced from last year (when the article was written), Gil was defending the viability of the Gold Coast Suns as the radio host was questioning their significance ( the Suns have never played finals in their existence)

The quote is not important in the scheme of things

Just got tickets for Storm and pax is over 20K . Today is Storm members only.

The Storm crowd will likely sit at just over 27k, between the changes to seating to fit the larger screens at each end and the ground not having the additional seats at ground level (that are used for Soccer games) to fit in the try line I don’t think the capacity for AAMI Park is much more than 27k these days

Unless there is a number of seats being held back, sales for AAMI Park have already surpassed week one sales.

Outside of S27, all Category 1 bays are down to single seats. All Category 2 bays except for S73 are down to limited seats and all Category 4 bays are down to 2 or less seats.

Encouraging to see for Accor Stadium that Level 4 is now open. That didn't happen for Panthers v Storm last year.

You’d bloody hope so lol. Surely a game between 2 Sydney sides can draw a much bigger crowd.
