Why were Panthers considered for Vegas. Pretty dumb call by the NRL. I feel the Club Challenge is more important than the Rd 1 game. You actually win a trophy and are recognised as the best rugby league team in the world. Winning Rd 1 in Vegas does not guarantee you finals footy?

They can send the St George Illawarra Dragons to play the World Club Challenge. We seem to have a 100% win record in that final. We can show the Panthers how it's done....lol
To use up one of Penrith’s home games as Penny Park will be out of commission

One of things I noticed before the teams got out on to the field last weekend was how confident all the Penrith players looked. It wasn't arrogance. They were just calm and 100% confident in themselves and their teammates. It's been a long time since I've seen a Dragons team walk out onto the field with the same look in their eyes.

Having that confidence is a massive thing to have in such a big game as the grand final. Even as an individual playing one on one sport, let alone a team game, if the confidence is there you perform better. Penrith are now able to exude that confidence in other future finals games as they have well and truly entrenched their familiarity of grand final days and the requirements needed to come out victors. That's why I say they will win next year as well.

I think that once we can be a regular top 8 team, we will build on our confidence. Many years of hard work and tolerance and resilience is needed of course. But, yes, I cannot remember the last time I saw that confidence in our players - they have not been able to consistently dominate in games - win then lose - so they need someone who can get them to realise that all games are winnable every week and instil that belief in them all of the time. What preparation did they do and what was said to them before the game against the Storm this year when they outplayed them? If what they did and what was said made the players play better, then that should have been used for the remaining games of this year. Hopefully they will next year. That will put a big smile of confidence on their faces.
