So, we still have 5 mathematical possibilities for 8th! If my maths is right;

Dolphins: Need to beat Knights next week, or

Dargons: Knights lose to Titans, beat Dolphins. Dragons beat Raiders, or

Broncos: Knights lose to Titans, beat Dolphins. Raiders lose to Rosters and beat Dragons. Broncos beat Storm, or

Knights: Knights beat Titans and Dolphins, or

Raiders: Raiders beat Roosters and Dragons. Knights lose to Titans and beat Dolphins.

If I had to put some hard earned on it right now, I'd go Knights.
Updated. And then there were 4.

Dolphins: Need to beat Knights next week, or

Knights: Need to beat Dolphins, or

Dargons: Need to beat Raiders. Need Knights and Dolphins to tie after extra time, or

Raiders: Need to beat Roosters and Dragons. Need Knights and Dolphins to tie after extra time.

Broncos: No chance

Getting messy now.

Dragons play Raiders Saturday 3:00 pm. Winner has an outside chance, loser goes home. In case of a tie both go home.
Knights play Dolphins Sunday 4:05 pm. Winner plays finals, loser goes home. Winner of Dragons/Raiders goes home.
Unless they tie. In which case the winner of Dragons/Raiders plays finals.
Unless they already tied. In which case Dolphins play finals.

I'm still tipping Knights.

So it's looking likely that Storm host Sharks. And of course Melbourne play Thursday this week, and the Sharks Sunday.

So a Friday night game would mean 8 day turn around for Storm, 5 for Sharks.
Saturday would be 9 and 6.
Sunday would be 10 and 7.

I reckon we're looking at:
Fri: Panthers v Roosters
Sat: Storm v Sharks
Sat: Cowboys v Knights/Dolphins
Sun: Bulldogs v Sea Eagles (or vice versa)

You’re over thinking it… Knights v Dolphins are playing for 8th, not complicated at all 😂

My friend at Storm tells me the game is likely 4pm Saturday, partly to avoid a clash with AFL. Foxtel program guide also agrees with your time slots. We are look at full houses for the first three games and a big crowd for Sunday. Huge weekend.

Hope your mail is right on that one, It's about the only time I can make a game that weekend!

As a complete neutral for this finals series my overwhelming thought is - does it matter? It would take either another Penrith miracle, or a heck of a bed shit, for the Storm not to win the premiership.

They are the most obvious front runners in many seasons.

Yes and no. We haven't been at our best but Melbourne just squeaked past us with every call in the game going their way. If Nathan's shoulder holds I think we'll do them

The club would be more than happy to accept being ranked below Melbourne.

If all teams perform at their best then it's still Penrith's competition to lose. They've won three in a row and still have the best spine in the competition.
