2024 NSW Women's Premiership

I follow the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership because that's where the Rabbitohs Women's team plays.

The women are currently playing in round 4, having won 2 of their first 3 matches.

They lead the Eels 10-6 early in the 2nd half.

Kiana Takairangi goes in for our 3rd try and former NSW state of Origin captain Maddie Studdon, who has returned to the Rabbitohs this season, misses the conversion.

Daisy Gordon and Jaminey Weatherall got the first 2 tries.

Rabbitohs lead 14-6.

Behind now - Eels in again. They lead 18-14. 6 & 1/2 to go.

Unfortunately the girls have gone down, losing 14-18. 3 tries-all but goal kicking the difference.

They are now 2 - 2 on the ladder.

The women went down to Mounties today 24-18.

It was 5 tries to four with only one conversion successful and that was after they started terribly and were down 16-0 after just 12 minutes. So, they won the final 58 minutes of the game 18-8 but no cigar.

Obviously got some things to work on but they also have shown they can be quite competitive against a side that is currently 4th to start the round.

R6 HT score - Sea Eagles 12 - Rabbitohs 0. But we're over early in the 2nd half so it's 4-12.

FT score - Sea Eagles 28 d Rabbitohs 4.

7 tries to 1 with not a single conversion successful. A late replacement in the centres for Manly scored 5 tries on her own.

On to next week against Wenty at Redfern Oval on Saturday the 17th @ 11am. Wenty are undefeated at the top of the ladder so good luck with that one girls!

Got smashed 40-6 as expected by Wenty.

Next week we play the Sharks @ Redfern who are down near the bottom with us so really need to win that one.

Hey, hey, hey! The girls have had a big win today.

They beat the Sharks 34-6 to climb away from the bottom feeding teams on 3 wins now and stay in touch with the finals contenders in the only women's comp I give a toss about.

6 tries to 1. Well done to our women's team. We take on St George next week at Hurstville Oval who are currently one win ahead of us.
