Newcastle have shown some ticker after losing Ponga but I think Tigers are due and get this one

Good chance we'll have two 18 year olds starting in the halves. Whens the last time that happened?

The Knights have adjusted their game plan pretty well without Ponga, neither team have many points however Id expect Newcastle to be too good

This game is in danger of actually being a good contest. I didn't tip us against the Dolphins or the Warriors, and I probably won't tip us against the Tigers. Who knows. We defended well against the Warriors but our attack is bad. This could be a real low-scoring game.

Hopefully get J Saf and Frizell back for this. Think we’ll get up especially if Api is out.

its in danger of being a lot of things. dont think the bold is one of them.
Haha well I meant close rather than good I suppose. Good in the sense that I think that both teams are on a similar level right now so it shouldn't be a 30 point shellacking either way. If I am a neutral, I'd rather watch two teams fumble their way a bit in attack but have a close contest than a drubbing.

This will be a statement game for Armstrong. I reckon alot of club recruitments are looking at him now.

I think he'll be off to super league if he really, really wants to play fullback. Fullback is an incredibly deep position in the NRL, he's not even our first choice in NSW Cup. Definitey has good energy about him, but when I look across the comp I don't see a team that needs to take a punt on a youngster in their #1 jersey.

The wild thing about Armstrong is that he’s probably the 5th most talented fullback in the club but managed to get the first crack as the others are either injured, a year too young or being converted to a 6.

There’s an insane log jam of talented fullbacks coming through the club but we can’t produce a FG standard half or prop to save ourselves.

that’s very kind of you, ponga out brings newie back a bit however it’s still 90% of the squads who came 5th and 17th last year

I think the general attitude from our end is that we could lose any game of football against anyone until proven otherwise.

There's some early signs that Kalyn being gone for a long stint has woken the rest of our squad up a bit, but we'll see. From our point of view, if we're to go on a run when he gets back and play finals football this year, then this is a critical must-win game. Every match we can pick up without him is pure gold. We'll see if our effort reflects that reality or not.

Will be fascinating to see what shitbaggery Jackson Hastings gets up to against his former club.
