Have a look at Cobbo on the Hammer runaway try - granted he’s on the other wing, but when the ball goes to ground, you see him turn back towards his own line and gesture as though he’s about to start a chase back - he takes 1 or 2 steps, sees its Hammer with the ball, obviously thinks it’s pointless trying and just doesn’t even bother to set off.
That’s the type of thing that has been wrong with the Broncos all season - they’re not willing to work hard, or do the old origin cliche 1%ers, ‘be there just in case’… they want to shortcut their way to wins, let Reece torch everyone and score a bazillion, without earning the right first. If the hammer has slipped, or if Sailor had managed to clip his ankle, cobbo would have been nowhere. I’m pretty sure he’d have at least made Hammer push out wide a bit, rather than going under the sticks. But it just wasn’t worth the effort to Cobbo.

What a privilege it was to be there in person to witness the donkeys season finished off in such an enjoyable fashion. And to see the Phins finally figure out that games go for 80 minutes. Our form heading in was so bad I was hoping against hope for a win by hook or by crook. I didn't dare dream we could flog them so comprehensively. A very enjoyable evening, and right up there with Origin 3 for sheer unexpected delight.

And one win away from a finals birth. Would be an amazing result if it happens.

That was absolutely fantastic viewing. Honestly, this Broncos season will go down as one of the biggest failures of all-time. Literally no one believes Kevvie is an NRL coach and this proves it.

Imagine missing the finals with that roster. Yikes...
I find it hilarious how everyone is to blame except for Kevin. I’m sure he is a great bloke but it doesn’t mean he is beyond all criticism. It’s such a weird mindset.
