If it was a RL game I'll get up anytime for it, but if it were the NFL and even if it was a good time slot i still wouldn't watch that crap.

Why get up early for a game you have no interest in?

You can wake up at a usual time and watch it later?

Seems that both vegas games are being shown in 4k on foxtel today.

Does anyone know if that will be for the entire season? Last year the channel 9 produced games weren't 4k on fox.

Unfortunately, the first moments of rugby league in America were not shown on Fox 1, with the broadcaster staying with the college basketball game between Georgetown Hoyas and Xavier Musketeers.

Instead, the NRL was moved to the network’s secondary channel. The game was finally moved to the main channel 17 minutes into the contest between South Sydney and Manly, just in time to see Lachan Ilias’ ankle-tap on a runaway Jason Saab.

Ehh maybe not a bad thing. If they had a good audience from the previous match and they switched over quick, we might have gained a bit of an accidental audience that might have stayed

Bit of a shame as that first 15 was the most gladiatorial of both games, with all the cuts and blood on full show. But overall the delay probably wouldn’t of made too much of a difference

It will depend on who supplies the broadcast equipment I'd suspect. Channel 9 sent virtually no one to Vegas, whilst Fox Sports did, so all the equipment for the vision for the broadcast would have come from Fox. Consequently, I suspect any Foxtel games produced solely by Fox will be, whilst where they take the vision feed from Nine probably won't as Nine do not broadcast in 4k atm.

Total TV is the comparable figure - its the average ratings we have used for decades, but even then theres no Fox data at the moment.

Reach data we really only have for special events and some weekend total data. It will not be comparable to previous years.

The NRL’s venture into Las Vegas turned into a television ratings bonanza for Fox League with the season-opening Sea Eagles-Rabbitohs and Roosters-Broncos matches at Allegiant Stadium the most-watched games on Fox League to date.

South Sydney’s 36-24 win over Manly pulled in a remarkable 838,000 viewers on TV screens and on Fox Sports’ streaming service Kayo.

Fox League had 786,000 people tune into the Roosters and Broncos clash compared to Channel 9’s 784,000 viewers on Sunday night.

Amazing opening numbers! 2.408 Million for the first two games.

Do we have an idea of when we will get the figures for FS1 / FS2? or does this include those as well?

So if I'm reading correctly, we got:
Manly v Rabbitohs - 838k - highest ever rating game on Fox (is this for any sport?)
Roosters v Broncos - 1.57/1.582 mill (is this the highest rating H&A game for any code?)
Broncos v Dolphins had 1.441 mill last year as the record?

Amazing ratings and incredible publicity.

Question: how long before the AFL copy us?
They’d be fools not to. If they want gambling $s then their footprint has to be extended outside this nanny state. I took a break from gambling by using the government’s bet stop app for 3 months. The crap I had to go through to reopen my Ladbrokes account was invasive and bordering on harassment. That’s just a portent of what’s to come.
