What a dumb f**king post. Yeah they play different positions so obviously their skill set is different.
Let's pretend Payne Hass is 5 foot 10 and 90kg.

This " skill set " is what exactly?

finding big men that aren't useless and know how to use there size is very uncommon, that's the talent.

He's probably not doing much different than he was as a kid, his bigger than the other kids, he just has to act like it.

I'm a fan of his!!
He's a rare talent!!

How many people do you think exist that can get to his size and still maintain that much speed, strength and stamina?
He's a freak.
Actually football talent? f**k all.

How do they approach the World Cup from here?

Many will suggest punting Wane and Williams but a fresh start straight into a world cup might do more harm than good.

I'd build on what they have here, get the best NRL attacking coach in as an assistant. If they don't at least make the world cup final then move on from both coach and captain for a new era.

England tried their guts out here but they just offer nothing in attack. Australia too good defensively to fall for any of that lacklustre shit.

Walsh went back to being awful again. Maybe there is something funky in the old dart’s toilet water?

Munster a deserved motm. A clear standout.

Welsby is better than he showed in game 1, so he's still a good option, but if they go Brimson all good.

Billy Smith and Herbie are their obvious centre pairing and are NRL experienced.

Mikey Lewis should be at 6 to focus on his running game which is his strength.

Halfback? Not sure, Jake Connor?

Smithies & Radley are a must in the pack.

Coaching: England need a world class coach like a Bennett or Madge. Look what Bennett got out of them at the 2017 WC. On top of that, assistant coaches that understand how to break down NRL defenses. There are some English assistant coaches in the NRL, although nationality is irrelevant, they need the best they can get.

Defensively we were great. We didn't look the best in attack.
I thought the English defense was brutal and it put the attack out of time.
And I said Australia played well, not great, outstanding or unbelievable.
Well. And I think all things considered is a fair statement.
Some people on here want to make changes, I don't see it. Maybe Deardon wasn't much off the bench for impact, maybe have Strange of the bench to see what he can do.

I think that you need to pick the best coach possible regardless of nationality and have an English assistant for motivation ect .
James Graham comes to mind. Actually I'd be looking to consult with him on who the coach should be. He's not a coach, but there's few as passionate and in the know as he is.
Get him involved and probably long term.

Madge is an obvious pick if you can get him.

Geeez that was a hard game to watch, id never thought I'd say this ....but the eng v Wallabies game was more entertaining.

Are super league games this hard to watch? Not trolling, genuine question.

I tried to watch it this year...
Holding down in the ruck.. struggle.. still holding..no penalty.. every tackle.
Then what you saw with the video ref last night, absolutely painfully slow, wrong angle, go back, now let's see another angle..then let's ignore the actual infringement and make the obviously wrong decision.
Last night, thankfully our on field refs was guiding him on what he's looking for!
Where do they even make these idiots?

There's some serious piss taking going on over there, a lot of people in positions that they should not be in! Both on the field and off it.

Do you think that video ref last night would get another game if it's NRL? I doubt it !
And those decisions weren't hard!
I was laughing so hard when you could hear referee Grant Atkins assisting the video referee multiple times throughout the match in regards to what to look for in the review! That's got to be first time I've ever seen that, with a referee consulting the video referee.

Amateur-hour roobish! (as Geoff Boycott would say)

Slept through the second half.

Haters missing the point. The Kangaroos are essentially the Harlem Globetrotters on this tour. Its brought in big crowds. Now talk of England hosting round 1 in future. Its been a success already.

And hopefully makes England wake up a bit. Their RL competition sucks and its national team is the worst of all the competitive nations.
Steve Mascord recently wrote on Twitter/X that there's a push behind the scenes to have the 2030 RLWC played in America (largely off the back of the success over the past two years in Las Vegas).

If that does eventuate, Mascord said the NRL plans to start the 2029 NRL season with a double-header at Wembley.

Great stuff.

I support both ventures.
