Positive news out of London and Cornwall.

Exciting news is emerging for the London Broncos, as a consortium led by Rugby League agent Graeme Taylor steps forward to invest in the club. This bold move promises to secure their immediate future as they prepare to return to the Championship in 2025.
Cornwall are also in the process of being sold by Eric Perez to a new owner, who has given assurances that they will remain in Cornwall and won't be relocated away from the county.
While IMG has indicated that Championship and League One clubs may face challenges in securing a TV deal before their seasons start in February. One option available to clubs is for them to stream games themselves behind pay-per-view platforms.

These rumours have now been exposed as bs.

From Hemel to Ottowa to Cornwall. I think this license was cursed!

Does that mean they will drop down a division for next year, or gone altogether?

London Broncos v Barrow Raiders for me on Sunday.

Should be a decent game, Broncos have, as they tend to do in the Championship, gone on a bit of a mid-season run of form. It's pulled them out of the relegation zone (though that may be redundant anyway) though it's still tight down at the foot of the table. The return of Ethan Natoli from France and signing of Brandon Webster-Mansfield, also from France, have helped massively alongside injured players returning to fitness.

London Broncos 18-10 Barrow Raiders
Betfred Championship

Before this weeks news, this was a bit of a nothing game. Broncos weren’t realistically going to get themselves out of the bottom four and the “Super 8’s” for a place in next year’s Championship and Barrow were comfortably in the top eight. This weeks news made the game a bit more redundant, with rumours that the Championship and League One will merge and the possibility that London could in theory lose every single game for the rest of the season, finish in a relegation place and yet still get promoted or even not. Rugby League is never dull.

Anyway, awful opening 20. Both teams made loads of errors but Broncos probably the worse for errors despite having some good ball in good positions and two quick Barrow tries made it look like it was going to be a long afternoon for Broncos. They got back into the game though, themselves with two quick tries at the back end of the first half to make it 8-10.

Second half was a real good effort from London, at times they had three repeat sets on their own line and defended them admirably, a couple of times they pinned Barrow into their own 20 on the sixth tackle and they were on top physically. The scoreboard remained tight because London still made some dumb errors and Barrow weren’t out of this by any stretch. A literal last minute try pushed the game beyond Barrow and left London with the win.
